Walking Group

The Cascade Walking Group has been set up by people in recovery for people in recovery. The aim of the group is simple, get as many people as possible out into the freedom of the country side for a fun and informal walk.
The health benefits of walking in the countryside are obvious and well documented, but for those of us in recovery these benefits go far beyond the mere physical. For some people the road to recovery is hard and can feel at times confining; a succession of meetings, sitting in rooms confined by four walls.
Living in Hostels or re-hab, constrained by physical and mental health issues or a lack of
confidence.

Where: Cascade Cafe, Baker Street, Brighton
When: Sundays 13:00 - Return
We offer a chance to get out into the fresh air, to spend time with people who are going through, or have been through the same things; the chance to walk and talk.
We offer the chance to just relax in the natural beauty away from the hustle and bustle. The chance to get away from the worries of the world for a few hours.Making connections with people in recovery and thus reducing social isolation in an empowered and informal group; where often personal experiences can be shared and we can help one another in our own individual journeys.
